SANGHAR: Revenue officials booked

Published December 2, 2005

SANGHAR, Dec 1: A case has been registered against two revenue officials and two other persons for fraudulently transferring the land of a widow. It has been alleged that former Mukhtiarkar of the Sinjhoro taluka Mir Mohammad Khaskheli and tapedar Foto Khan Chang along with Soomar Khan and Jalal Leghari had transferred the land of Ms Siani, the widow of Allah Bux Leghari, situated in the Kharho Rayati deh near Rukkan Burira.

The officials had prepared forged papers and changed the record of more than 17 acres of land.

On the complaint of the widow, the record was examined by anti-corruption establishment circle officer Mohammad Ismail Abbasi.

It was found that the official had committed forgery in the record and prepared counterfeit documents to transfer the land.

The land, in fact, belonged to Ms Siani’s late husband Allah Bux, son of Allah Warayo Leghari.

The culprits would be tested in the court of anti-corruption special judge.
