KASUR: A boy died while eight other passengers suffered injuries as a motorcycle-rickshaw overturned when one of its wheels got detached at Dholan Hithar village.

The three-wheeler driver and four men saved their lives by jumping out of the vehicle. The women and children fell into a well. The three-wheeler was on its way to Dholan Hithar village from Khudian.

The driver and four passengers jumped to save their lives but six women and three children fell into a 50-foot well meant for the tubewell water pump.

The Rescue 1122 reached the spot and took out the injured from the well.

The injured Hanan, 10, Abdullah, 7, Abdul Rehman, 5, Khurshidan, 40, Nusrat Bibi, 50, Parveen Bibi, 50, Zareena Bibi, 32, Nazia Bibi, 35, and Nabeela Bibi, 55, were taken to the DHQ hospital where Hanan was pronounced dead.
