ABBOTTABAD: Adviser to the chief minister on information Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif inaugurated the Pakistan Learning Festival here on Saturday and appreciated the performances of students.

He said that the educational and creative activities of the students should be encouraged for their own and national development.

The two-day event, a joint venture of government departments, semi-government organisations and private institutions, was hosted by the Comsats University.

The CM’s adviser said that it was the people’s religious duty to learn from others all through their life.

He later told reporters that the no-trust motion against the prime minister had exposed the opposition’s political weaknesses and would badly fail.

Barrister Saif said that before the tabling of the no-trust motion against the prime minister, the opposition parties should have studied the Constitution on the procedure of how to remove the prime minister.

He also said that both opposition parties PPP and PML-N should go through the Charter of Democracy they had signed in the past.

The adviser to the CM said the security establishment had neither played any political role in the past nor had it done so currently.

About the ruling PTI’s disgruntled members, he said that the party leadership was aware of the assembly members, who were annoyed and those who had parted ways with the party.

Barrister Saif said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would complete his constitutional tenure as the entire party stood by him.

About the position of the PTI during the coming phase of the local body elections in the province, he said that the ruling party would sweep the electoral exercise in all 17 districts.

Director of Comsats University Dr Imtiaz Ali, DPO Zahoor Babar Afridi, DC Tariq Salam Marwat and Dr Abdul Samad also spoke on the occasion.
