HARIPUR: Two persons were killed in separate incidents, the police said on Friday.

The first incident was reported from Sera-i-Gadaee village, where the owner of a block factory was found shot dead on Friday morning. Police quoted the family as saying that Rashid Khan, a resident of Chohar village, was found dead in his block factory in Sera-i-Gadaee village when the factory workers went there in the morning.

The body was shifted to the trauma centre, where the doctors confirmed his death was caused by a firearm injury. The police registered a case against unknown assailants. The second incident was reported from Pirkot village, where a young man was killed during festive firing.

The police said a councillor, namely Noman alias Nomi, started firing in the air at a marriage ceremony when a bullet pierced through the chest of Rizwan, injuring him critically. The injured was taken to the trauma centre, but he could not survive.
