MIRPURKHAS: Sindh’s secretary of education has suspended Mirpurkhas district education officer (secondary) Chaman Lal with immediate affect over reports he had issued an offer letter to a candidate who had failed IBA-conducted job test for the posts of teachers.

The sources said that Chaman Lal had issued offer letters a few weeks ago to 61 candidates of Sindhri taluka who had passed the IBA test but soon afterwards reports began to circulate on social media that one of the recipients of the letters was Ashfaque Ali Raho, who had actually failed the test and acquired only 40 marks, 15 marks less than the passing marks of 55.

Ashfaque was son of Haji Khan Raho, who was a former district education officer (secondary) of Mirpurkhas, said the sources.
