TAXILA: Five persons were killed in separate incidents in Attock and Taxila on Friday.

In the first incident, a woman was shot dead by robbers in Mansar village in the limits of Attock police station.

Police sources said armed robbers entered the house of Mumtaz Shah by scaling the wall of his house and locked all the family members of the house in a room. When wife of the house owner put up resistance, one of the robbers shot her dead.

Later, all the robbers fled with looted items including gold ornaments and cash worth millions of rupees.

Moreover, a man was shot dead over old enmity in village Bhalar Gogi in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal police station.

Police while quoting the family members of the deceased said the man was working in his field when two masked armed men came and opened fire on him killing him on the spot.

Later, his body was shifted to THQ hospital for autopsy.

A speeding car killed a motorcyclist on Attock-Pindigheb road near Pak Town in the limits of Pindigheb police station.

Body of a man was found floating in Haroriver near Jablat railway bridge in the limits of the Pindighebpolice station.

Later, police shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

A 30-year-old man was killed by a trailer near an underpass in the limits of Taxila police station. The trailer driver managed to escape.
