LAHORE: Punjab Minister for School Education Murad Raas on Tuesday announced that all the schools in Lahore and Rawalpindi would resume their normal schedule from Feb 16.

He tweeted the announcement: All Public and Private schools of Lahore and Rawalpindi to return to their normal schedule starting tomorrow February 16, 2022, along with the rest of Punjab. Please follow Covid SOPs issued by the government.

CULTURE DAY: The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) and the Culture Department on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote folk culture in the province.

The ceremony was held at Alhamra where Punjab Minister for Higher Education and Information Technology Raja Yassir Safraz and Minister for Culture Khayal Ahmed Kastro signed the MoU.

Mr Sarfraz said Punjab is an ancient cultural centre and has a rich folk culture.

He said a ceremony to celebrate culture day will be organized in all colleges and universities across the province.

Mr Kastro remarked that they were would celebrate the cultural day officially and show the world the real colours of Punjabi culture.

He vowed that it would be our endeavour to promote the culture of Punjab through mass media across the province.
