RAWALPINDI: Punjab Law Minister Mohammad Basharat Raja on Sunday launched a week-long health card awareness campaign in his constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Raja said 10 awareness camps had been established in the constituency where information about health card was being provided to people on a daily basis.
He said one could not find any example in the history of the country where healthcare facilities like those extended by the PTI government had been provided.
The minister said information about the health card was being provided to citizens through announcements in mosques and by public representatives, adding that details could also be obtained by messaging one’s computerised identity card number on 8500.
“We are grateful to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar for providing health care facilities to permanent residents of Rawalpindi,” Mr Raja said.
A large number of people including former adviser to Punjab chief minister Nasir Raja, Member Cantonment Board Malik Noman Shaukat, former Dhamial Union Council chairman Shahid Iqbal Raja, Shuja Iqbal Raja, Amir Tanveer, Babu Idrees, Hafiz Abrar and Wasim Siddiqui were also present on the occasion.
