Mr Khattak said he felt sorry for hundreds of disgruntled workers, who were not considered for the party tickets during the first phase of the local body elections in the province, and termed them party’s asset and future. He asked the workers to start campaigning for the second phase of local body polls.

TRADERS’ CONCERNS: The Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry have urged the Federal Board of Revenue to remove the fears of thousands of small traders about becoming tax filers and end multiple taxation.

FPCCI’s executive council member Rasheed Paracha, KCCI senior vice-president Sufian Rehman and others called on FBR Commissioner, DI Khan region, Irfan Azeez and Assistant Commissioner, Inland Revenue Kohat, Iqbal Noor on Wednesday.

They demanded shifting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority office from Bannu to Kohat to facilitate the investors willing to set up industrial units in the district.

Mr Rasheed Paracha informed the FBR commissioner that small traders were reluctant to become filers due to multiple tax collections by the provincial and federal agencies.
