PESHAWAR: A large number of candidates on Monday protested against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission over its failure to declare the results of the positions of assistant sub inspector despite passage of several years.
A large number of protesters gathered outside the KPPSC office on the Fort Road to protest what they called ‘undue delay’ in announcing the results of examinations for which the process was started in 2018.
The candidates said that more than 1,000 of them had passed the written examination and almost all of them also appeared in the viva voce. They said despite that commission was delaying the announcement of results due to the unknown reasons.
The protesters were carrying banners and placards demanding announcement of results. The protesters walked up to the Peshawar Press Club, where they addressed a press conference and later staged a protest outside the assembly chowk.KP government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif and officials of KPPSC were not available for comments despite repeated attempts.
