KHUZDAR: Five members of a family were killed in a road accident in Mongochar area of Kalat district on Saturday.

Levies officials said that a Karachi-bound passenger bus collided with a car coming from opposite direction in the Badrang area of Mangochar, leaving five members of a family travelling in the car dead.

“Two women and two children were killed on the spot along with head of the family travelling in the car,” Assistant Commissioner of Mangochar Meharullah said, adding that the tragic incident took place due to snow at the Quetta- Karachi Highway.

The family belongs to Pishin district. The deceased were identified as Syed Faridullah, his wife, two children and another woman of the family.

Levies’ officials rushed to the area after receiving the information and took bodies to the hospital. Later, bodies of the victims were handed over to their family members.
