HYDERABAD, Nov 24: Awami Tehrik Chief Rasool Bux Palijo has condemned large-scale transfers of Sindhi officers from Karachi and Hyderabad and termed it a conspiracy against Sindh.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said the reshuffle was aimed at ousting Sindhis from all walks of life.

He said that right from the inception of Pakistan, conspiracies were being hatched to eliminate the Sindhi language.

Mr Palijo termed the transfers of Sindhi officers and non-enforcement of the language act a flagrant violation of the Constitution of Pakistan.

He said the Mirs, Pirs and Sardars of Sindh had always been a privy to conspiracies against Sindh in order to protect their petty interests.

He said that steps being taken against the Sindhi language were aimed at destroying the 5000-year-old culture of Sindh.

He urged people to unite against the elements which were working against the interests of people.

Admission TEST: The test for admission to the Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, and its affiliated Z.A. Bhutto Agriculture College, Dokri, will be held on Nov 28 at different places.

University authorities on Thursday announced that candidates of Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar and Jamshoro would appear in the test at the main auditorium hall of the university.

Candidates of Mirpurkhas, Mithi and Umerkot districts will appear at the Government Comprehensive High School, Mirpurkhas, candidates of the Badin district at the Government Islamia College, Badin, candidates of the Sanghar district at the Government Degree College, Sanghar, candidates of the Naushahro Feroze district at the Government Degree College, Naushahro Feroze, candidates of the Nawabshah district at the H. M. Khwaja High School, Nawabshah, candidates of the Khairpur district at the district agriculture office near the Mall Road, candidates of the Sukkur district at the Sukkur Government Islamia Science College, candidates of the Ghotki district at the Islamia Public School and College, Ghotki, candidates of the Shikarpur district at the Government High School-2, Shikarpur, candidates of Jacobabad and Kashmore districts at the Mehran Hall, Jacobabad, candidates of Larkana and Qambar-Shahdadkot districts at the Government College, Larkana, candidates of the Dadu district at the Dadu Degree College and candidates of Thatta and Karachi districts will appear at the Government Ayesha Bawani College, Karachi.

Candidates have been asked to report at their respective examination centres at 9am.

The principal of the Government College of Education in Commercial Practices, Sehwan, has notified that admission to certificate courses in English shorthand (one-year) and English and Sindhi typewriting (six months) will commence from Dec 1 at the Government Mono-technic Institute, Sehwan, a branch of the college.

He said admission forms would be accepted till Dec 31.
