LAHORE: With a death and 919 new positive cases of Covid-19 recorded during the last 24 hours in Punjab, the positivity ratio of the virus has increased to 10.7 per cent in Lahore, the highest one reported during the fifth wave of the pandemic.

Of the new cases, 777 were reported in Lahore, followed by 67 in Rawalpindi.

The number of the positive cases has reached 449,944 in Punjab.

Similarly, the total number of deaths due to the Covid across Punjab reached 13,081, according to the health department.

The positivity rate of the virus in Rawalpindi was recorded 7.4 and in Faisalabad 1.6pc. Health teams performed 19,580 Covid tests in the last 24 hours.
