KARACHI: The director general of Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Mujibur Rehman Qambrani has said that the master plan of the port city has been approved and all problems, including NOCs for builders and developers investing in Gwadar, will be resolved soon.

Addressing the members of the Association of Builders and Developers (Abad), he said the security problems of Gwadar had been resolved and a Gwadar Investment Conference will be organised soon. He said Abad could play a pivotal role in the development of Gwadar, adding that the problems being faced by builders and developers would be addressed on priority.

Abad’s Senior Vice Chairman Hanif Memon said his association was all set to play an important role for development of Gwadar but problems of its members like grant of NOCs and land title should be resolved immediately. He said an automated one-window system should be installed for issuing NOCs and other related services by the GDA.

He said several Abad members had purchased land and got NOCs through proper channels but title issues were not resolved and these NOCs were cancelled without assigning any valid reason.

He requested the GDA’s director general to solve these problems.
