KARACHI: Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh on Wednesday directed the Hyderabad Electric Supply Corporation (Hesco) and Sukkur Electric Supply Corporation (Sepco) to ensure uninterrupted power supply and resolve public grievances on a priority basis.

Presiding over a meeting with officials of the power utilities of Hyderabad and Sukkur, he said that complaints received from the people should be resolved at the earliest.

He condemned the burning of power transformers in many parts of the province and directed the power utilities to immediately replace them.

He also directed Hesco and Sepco to complete electrification projects in the villages within stipulated time.

Sindh Energy Secretary Abu Bakar Madani and other officials were also present.
