MIRPURKHAS: The Satellite Town police of Mirpurkhas on Sunday recovered the headless body of a woman on a lead given by two suspects, Shaukat and Amir, arrested on the complaint of her brother Altaf Shoro.

The woman, Sana Taj Shoro, had gone missing a few days ago. Altaf Shoro had lodged the complaint at the police station stating that the two suspects might have kidnapped his sister.

The police conducted raids on the possible hideouts of the suspects and traced them out on Sunday. During interrogation, they confessed to have strangled the woman to death, chopped off her head with a knife and dumped the headless body in the fields near Mohammad Brohi village.

The police recovered the body from the identified spot. However, her head was yet to be found. The woman is said to have been killed two days back. He cloths, some belongings and the knife used in the murder were also found near the body.

The police said they were also looking into the possibility of some other suspects having been involved in the murder.

Police were trying to ascertain the actual motive for the murder. The suspects and complainant told them that she was at the centre of a dispute between the Shoro and Panhwar families.
