KARACHI: A recently married woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband in their home in Zikria Goth off Superhighway on Friday.

According to the Malir Cantonment police, Ali Hasan was arrested for allegedly killing her 18-year-old wife, Kainat.

Area SHO Faisal Latif said that they tied the knot around one year ago. He said that the incident was motivated by some domestic issues. The suspect told the police that he killed his wife as she often quarrelled with him.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfil medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, the body of a 40-year-old factory worker was found in Manzoor Colony on Friday. Police said with Iqbal was found slaughtered in his one-room apartment in Sector-C.

Area SHO Irshad Soomro said that the victim lived alone as his roommate was currently in his native town in Punjab.

He said that foul smell emanating from the room alerted area residents, who called the police. The door of the room was locked from inside. The police suspected some personal enmity behind the murder.
