The advisory issued by the consulate state that based on the incident the regional security office has recommended US citizens here to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all time. Until further notice, they should avoid locations where westerners were known to frequent throughout Pakistan until the US embassy glean additional information on what was the exact target of the bombing.

It asked its citizens to pay special attention to unattended vehicles and try to avoid parking areas without security or access control; besides knowing, where they were at all times in case they have to call for assistance. The citizens should have some way to call for help.

It urged its citizens to vary their routines and stop shopping at the same store, at the same time on the same day of a week.
