Media asked to highlight people’s issues

KOHAT: Chairman of the district development advisory committee MPA Ziaullah Bangash has advised the media to shun indiscriminate criticism of the government and help it resolve the real issues the people are facing.

He was speaking at a ceremony held to give away a grant given by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to the Kohat Press Club here on Friday.

Mr Bangash stressed that media’s role should be to ameliorate the living conditions of people and development of the country through highlighting the real issues.

He said welfare of journalists was the top priority of the government.

Meanwhile, representatives of the World Health Organisation have appealed to the lawmakers for their assistance in making the vaccination against coronavirus, measles and rubella a success.

They made the demand during a meeting with MPA from Kurram Riaz Shaheen on Friday, according to a statement issued here.

The WHO representatives stressed that the cooperation of public representatives was indispensable for the making the vaccination drives successful.

The MPA assured the WHO officials of his complete cooperation in making the campaign a success.
