Shangla resident gets death for murder

SHANGLA: The model criminal trial court awarded death penalty to a suspected killer after conviction here on Friday.

Convict Habibul Haq was also fined Rs1 million to be paid to the family of the deceased.

The court acquitted three suspects.

Haq was sentenced for killing Inayatullah of Kandaro Kotkay area in Martung tehsil in May last year.

Khan Bahadar Khan, lawyer for the deceased’s family, said it was a blind case but the culprit was traced with the support of police.
