ISLAMABAD: Another 457 people got infected with Covid-19 and 10 died on Tuesday.
The national positivity rate, which was 1.18 per cent on Monday, dropped to 1.16pc, while 105,881,931 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 162 ventilators were occupied with 41pc of them in Multan, 18pc in Peshawar, 15pc in Lahore and 13pc in Sargodha.
The number of active cases was 22,564 and 1,286 patients were in hospitals as of Nov 2.
The NCOC data showed that there was a huge difference in the numbers of partially and fully vaccinated people as 71,328,306 Pakistanis have received at least one dose of vaccine and 41,319,385 have been fully vaccinated.
Talking to Dawn, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Health Services Sajid Shah said that all the stakeholders were taking all possible steps to persuade people to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.
“We have been playing messages as a ring tone of phone calls reminding people to go for the second dose without waiting for the SMS from helpline or code. We also urge the people to get the second dose of vaccine at the earliest because they won’t get optimum level of immunity against the virus unless they complete the vaccination,” he said.
