LOWER DIR: The district administration on Friday demolished six shops and a portion of a plaza during an anti-encroachment drive on the Tangi Road in the Timergara city here.
Assistant commissioner Tahir Ali supervised the operation. During the drive, the path of a water channel was also cleared of encroachments.
Talking to journalists, Mr Ali said more illegal structures would be razed during the operation in order to clear the stream and roadsides of all kinds of encroachments.
