TAXILA: A man was killed in an explosion in his house in Meera Sharif on Friday.

Police while quoting eye witnesses said they rushed to the house of Salahuddin after hearing a big bang in the early hours of Friday and found the man in a pool of blood lying on his bed which was shattered.

Later police and a bomb disposal squad were called which secured the crime scene. “It seems like a grenade attack targeting the man,” said a police official present at the spot.

When contacted, spokesman for the district police SI Tahir Iqbal said the bomb disposal squad (BDS) was called from Rawalpindi which was examining the nature of the explosion and explosives utilised in the blast.
