ISLAMABAD: As many as 24 cases of Covid-19 were reported in the capital as the positivity ratio fell to 1.05pc on Monday.

Officials of the capital administration said in the last 24 hours, 2,277 tests were conducted among the contacts of the positive cases and other suspects out of whom 14 males and 10 females were found infected.

They said six cases were reported in the age group of 40-49 followed by five in 10-19, three each in 30-39 and 60-69, two each in 20-29, 50-59 and 70-79 and one in 0-9.

Likewise, seven cases were reported from Koral, three from Khana, two from G-9 and one each from Loi Bher, G-7, G-6, F-6, Tarlai, F-11, D12 and G-12, they added.

There are 854 active cases, the officials said, adding so far 106,469 residents of the capital have contracted the virus and 104,674 of them have recovered.

Since the outbreak of the virus, 937 Covid-19 patients have died in the capital.
