SUKKUR: Sindh Child Protection Authority chairperson Shamim Mumtaz on Saturday visited a victim of sexual assault in Pannu Aqil and advised her and her family to take the matter to a jirga instead of wasting time in going to police stations and arduous litigation.
The family said they were disappointed by the advice as they wanted justice through court.
Baijee police of Pannu Aqil on Saturday obtained a two-day remand of the prime suspect. Three alleged accomplices have already been arrested.
