SAHIWAL: Three minor girls died when a mud wall collapsed on them in Abadi Sabana in Pakpattan on Tuesday.

Neighbour women came to help the girls and later on Rescue 1122 joined them. They, however, retrieved two of the girls dead while the third girl was received dead at a nearby private hospital.

Rescue officials shifted the bodies to the Sahiwal DHQ Hospital.

Abdur Rehman told reporters his two daughters -- Fatima, 3, and Misbah, 6 -- were playing along the wall with friend Ayesha, 7, when the wall fell.

ARRESTED: The Counter-Terrorism Department arrested a militant at Ada 137/9-L, near Mir Dad Muafi.

Officials said they conducted an intelligence-based operation and recovered detonators, electronic devices, hand grenades and explosive material from Ghaffar, of Khushab.
