LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed officials to waive fee of fard while issuing Kissan cards to the cultivators.

The cards have been issued to 472,000 farmers for the digital subsidy and the number will reach one million by the end of the current financial year.

The chief minister was given a briefing on annual development projects and other matters of agriculture and livestock departments at a meeting at his office on Saturday.

The chief minister was told that 1,590 input dealers of Kissan Card were working across the province.

Under the National Program, CM Buzdar said the projects were being carried out to achieve the maximum production of wheat, sugarcane and rice crops. He said the scope of drip irrigation and solarisation projects was being extended gradually.

MPS: MNAs from different constituencies called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed the political situation of the province and other issues.

The MNAs who called on the CM included Ghazanfar Abbas, Amir Anayat Shahani, Ali Akhtar, Adil Pervez, Umar Farooq, Shakeel Shahid, Waris Aziz, Malik Nadim Abbas, Sarfraz Hussein, Saleem Akhtar, Qasim Abbas Khan, Ali Raza Khan, Raza Hussain Bukhari, Mian Alambardar Qureshi, Shahabuddin Khan, Firdous Rana and Abida Bibi.
