LAHORE: The inaugural Chief Minister Punjab 5-A-Side National Women’s Hockey Championship has been rescheduled and would now be held from Oct 15 to 20 at the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore, Sports Board Punjab (SBP) director general Adnan Arshad Aulakh said on Friday.

Fourteen teams from across the country would participate in the event, he added.

Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will field two teams each while one side each from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, Army, HEC, Wapda and Railways will feature in the event.

Adnan added that Punjab’s 37 female camp probables had been selected after the trials and the final line-up for the championship would be announced in due course of time.
