HYDERABAD: A.R. Women Cricket Academy and Women Cricket Groomers Academy, both from Hyderabad, qualified for the semi-finals of the Sindh Women Cup Inter City Super League Championship here at the Niaz Stadium on Monday.
In a group ‘A’ match, A.R. Women Cricket Academy trounced Physical Sports College Sukkur by eight wickets. Batting first, Physical Sports College scored a poor 79-6 in the stipulated 20 overs. Kashish scored 23 and Shahneela 18. Humera Nazeer took 2-12 and Naila Farhat 2-12.
In response, A.R. Academy achieved the target for the loss of two wickets in just 11 overs. Humera Zaheer scored 26 while Nabaa Bhatti remained unbeaten at 16.
Meanwhile, Women Cricket Groomers Academy defeated Women Cricket Academy Khairpur by seven wickets in their group ‘B’ game. Batting first, Khairpur posted 95-7. Zaibunnisa scored 46. Skipper Maham Manzoor claimed 3-5 and Mahagul 2-8.
Groomers achieved the target in 16.4 overs for the loss of three wickets. Eesha Rahupoto scored an unbeaten half-century (53) with eight hits to the fence.
On Sunday, SMS Women Cricket Club Karachi and M. Hussain Women Cricket Club had qualified for the semi-finals.
