LAHORE: Valuables, including the auto parts, were gutted in a fire in a multi-storey factory in Madina Colony, Baghbanpura, on Thursday.

The firefighters, with the help of three fire engines, controlled the blaze after hectic efforts of two hours.

A spokesperson for the Rescue 1122 said the cause of the fire could not be ascertained. He said the fire had engulfed many parts of the factory when the Rescue staff reached the site. The factory was manufacturing spare parts for vehicles.

He said the rescue teams handed over the premises of the factory to police for investigation.
