RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Wednesday sealed the site offices of CBR Town Phase-II on Chakri Road for bring illegal.

According to spokesman, the RDA has expedited operations against illegal housing schemes and unauthorised constructions in the area.

RDA’s enforcement cell sealed the offices of illegal housing scheme under Punjab Private Housing Schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010.

The spokesman claimed that the notices had been issued to the owner of the illegal housing scheme many times.

The RDA’s staff with the assistance of the local police sealed the offices of CBR Town Phase-II.

“An FIR has also been lodged,” he said, adding that the owner of the property was running the housing scheme in violation of rules.

He said that the RDA had already appealed to the people not to invest in illegal housing schemes in their own interest as any unauthorised housing scheme whose status was declared illegal by RDA could be checked on the RDA website. Otherwise, they themselves will be responsible for their losses.

He said the Punjab government had directed the RDA to take strict action against unauthorised housing schemes, their development/ construction of booking and site offices and encroachments without any fear or favour.
