PESHAWAR: The district administration and the Town Municipal Administration (TMA) Town-II in a joint operation razed encroachments erected on roadsides in Naguman locality on the Charsadda Road here on Tuesday.

The operation was supervised by additional assistant commissioner Anwar Akbar Khan. A heavy contingent of police was also deployed to prevent any unpleasant incident.

Meanwhile, Peshawar deputy commissioner Khalid Mahmood said an indiscriminate anti-encroachment operation would continue in all the localities of the capital city.

Also in the day, the Auqaf department retrieved 10 houses that were grabbed by land mafia in Moza Khana Sharif area of Dera Ismail Khan, during an anti-encroachment campaign led by manager Auqaf Dera Khayam Hassan.

In another anti-encroachment operation supervised by assistant commissioner, Mardan, Dr Sanam Abbas, over six kanals land was retrieved in Thaliano Kandh village, 93 kanals in Qasim Mira village and over 16 kanals in Barra Khana village from illegal occupants.
