Khuzdar problems to be solved: Alyani

KHUZDAR: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani has said that his government is preparing a comprehensive strategy for resolving the problems being faced by the people of Khuzdar.

Talking to various delegations after offering condolences to Balochistan National Party (Mengal) chairman Sardar Akhtar Mengal on the death of his father Sardar Ataullah Mengal in his native town Wadh, he said Khuzdar and other major towns of the province would be given the status of metropolitan cities soon.

Sardar Buland Khan, Mir Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Younis, Akram Baloch, Mir Irfan and Mir Ayazullah Bajwi called on the chief minister and briefed him about the problems of Khuzdar.

Mr Alyani said rehabilitation centers were being set up to make drug addicts useful members of society and a hospital would be set up in Khuzdar for the treatment of such addicts. He said Khuzdar -Basima highway was a very important project and its completion would not only facilitate the movement of people but also increase trade from Khuzdar.

He ordered that payment of compensation to the victims of Basima section should be ensured as soon as possible.

The chief minister said that provision of employment to educated youths was the top priority of his government and the process of testing and holding interviews of the applicants for filling the vacant posts should be completed soon. He directed the authorities concerned to start the construction of Khuzdar Sports Complex and Cardio Hospital as soon as possible and allot land in one place for all the major institutions.

Deputy Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Babar Musakhail, provincial minister Mir Arif Jan Mohammad Hasani, Kalat Commissioner Bashir Ahmad Khan Bazai, Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner retired Major Bashir Ahmed Barrech and Senior Superintendent of Police Arbab Amjad Kasi were also present on the occasion.
