HARIPUR: A man shot dead his wife in Kholiyan Bala village here, the police said on Saturday.
The officials quoted a complainant, Tariq Mehmood, as saying that his daughter was married to Mohammad Zubair about a year ago. But, she was subjected to mental and physical torture by her husband and his parents.
The complainant said on Friday evening, her in-laws informed him that she had committed suicide by shooting herself dead. He, however, charged her daughter’s husband and mother-in-law with the murder. The police have arrested the accused and his mother.
