DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unidentified assailants on Thursday forcibly entered a house and threw acid on a young girl, injuring her face, arms and neck, and also thrashed her mother.

The incident took place in the limits of Cantt police station in Dera city.

The suspects also made videos of violence and acid attack, the victim’s mother told police.

A police official said that wife of Ghulam Sadiq Awan, a resident of Chah Malikwala, had lodged a report with Cantt police that six unidentified persons speaking Pashto entered their house and grabbed her and her 17-year-old daughter by the hair and tortured them.

She said two suspects beat her daughter and also threw acid on her, burning her face, arms, neck and chest.

Cantt police registered the case against unidentified suspects and have started investigation.
