KARACHI, Nov 6: A policeman was killed by unknown persons in Quaidabad. His body was recovered early on Sunday morning from Quaidabad. Police said that Sub Inspector, Mohammad Hashim, 40, had gone out of the house on Saturday night, but did not return to his house in the Muzaffarabad Colony.

Police said that on Sunday morning his strangulated body was found near Masjid-i-Haq.

The body was sent to the JPMC for autopsy. The victim was posted in the Clifton Town.

ENCOUNTER: Police on Friday shot dead two persons described by the police, the associates of Rehman Dakait in an encounter at Mawaghgoth.

They were identified as Abdul Majid and Kalia. Police claimed that the suspects were close associates of Rehman Dakait. They had fire at the police party near Edhi graveyard. However, they were killed when police returned the fire.

WOUNDED: Armed bandits shot and wounded two persons at Ramzani Bakery at I.I Chundrigar Road on Saturday and took away cash and cellphones.

Police said that two armed men entered the bakery and held the salesman and the owner at gunpoint, on resistance they shot Abbas and his salesman and took away Rs8,000 and cellphones.
