Commander of militant outfit held in Charsadda raid

CHARSADDA: The Shabqadar police on Wednesday arrested a local commander of a banned militant organisation during a raid on his house in Ali Khani Baba locality here.

Addressing a press conference, DSP Mohammad Ishaq Khan and SHO Gul Shaid Khan said that a police party raided the house of wanted militant commander on the directives of DIG Mardan and Charsadda district police officer.

The commander, identified as Naimatullah alias Safwan, was wanted to the Counter-Terrorism Department of Mardan and the Shabqaddar police in different terrorist acts.

The police officers said that the commander was involved in blowing up of educational institutions.
