LAHORE: The Lahore Garrison qualified for the National Inter-club Golf Championships by winning the Punjab leg with two-day score of 2389, ahead of Rawalpindi Golf Club (2667) and PAF Skyview Team (2762) here at the PAF Skyview Golf Course on Monday.
Main contributors in Lahore Garrison’s victory were amateurs Muhymin, Damil Ataullah and Ahmed Kayani, Mohammad Shafi and Rashid Akbar, besides captain of the team Col Asif Mehdi. Ladies Suneya Osama and Ghazala Yasmin plus two girls — Bushra Fatima and Adina Ataullah — also excelled for the winners. The national event is scheduled to be held in Karachi from Sept 10 to 12.
