CHARSADDA: The police on Sunday arrested a man after he shot dead his wife along with her alleged paramour in Arat Korona area of Charsadda district.

Khanmai police station officials said the accused was arrested by Lundkhwar police of Mardan, where he had fled after committing the double murder.

A pistol was also recovered from his possession.

The accused confessed that he shot dead his wife along with another man after seeing them together in his house.

The police officials said they recovered the bodies from the house and shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital, Charsadda, for postmortem.

The officials said that the deceased man belonging to Afghanistan was presenting living in Arat Korona area.

The police registered a case against the accused and started further investigations.
