LARKANA: The Larkana Hindu Panchayat organised ‘Haleem Niaz’ at their Dharamshala, located on Royal Road, on Wednesday on the eve of Yaum-i-Ashura.

Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh president Nisar Khuhro, Larkana Deputy Commissioner Tariq Manzoor Chandio, SSP Imran Qureshi, activists of various political and civil society organisations and a large number of people from all walks of life attended at the programme.

Dr Ambrat Lal and Kalpna Devi, speaking to the guests said that the Niaz was arranged to pay respects to the unmatched sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) for the cause of humanity. They said the event would be held on the eve of Ashura every year.

Nisar Khuhro, Jameel Soomro, Khair Muhammad Shaikh and other leaders also organised Haleem programmes in their respective areas.
