SAHIWAL: The body of the missing official of the district sessions court was found at Fatho Moor near Sahiwal Bypass on Sunday. The police said the deceased’s friend said Shahid Aziz was killed by accidental fire while learning to operate a pistol for the shoot of the TikTok footage.

Deceased Shahid, 30, was ahalmand in the family judge court. His friend and colleague Shahzad confessed to “killing Shahid with an accidental fire”. Fateh Sher SHO Asif Nawaz said Shahid, of Bilal Colony, was the only son of his parent. On Friday afternoon he informed the family that he would return home after Friday prayers but he did not return. The family called Shahzad, who saidthat the last time he saw Shahid near the Zafat Ali Stadium. Later, the matter was reported to the police. The police said when they interrogated Shahzad, he said Shahid was killed while learning pistol for making social media videos. The police are looking into the matter.

CASE: District Education Authority officials want legal action against Sohaib Qaiser, assistant director of the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA), for obstructing official matters and tearing off the official record at the tehsil education office, Chichawanti. Authority CEO Dr Arshad has filed a complaint with DPO Kashif Aslam and the provincial secretary of the School Education Department for the registration of an FIR against Sohaib.

Sources say Sohaib was earlier an assistant education officer before joining the police department. On Aug 7, he with his friend went to the office of Deputy DEO Iftikhar Ahmed and sought favor which the DEO denied.

Upon refusal, Sohaib was infuriated and start threatening the said officer with dire consequences. Later, education employees called the police and stopped working.

CIA: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) busted 15 criminal gangs and arrested 47 members in July.

According to the CIA, they recovered Rs4.7 million, 13 cars, 14 motorcycles, eight 30-bore pistols, three 12-bore guns, and a lot of ammunition from the gangs. Of the busted gangs, five were involved in crime against property and persons.

With the arrests, the police resolved 69 FIRs.
