RAWALPINDI: An employee of a private housing society was gunned down in Chauntra police area on Sunday.

According to initial police report, Mohammad Saeed Imran, who was associated with a private housing society, was on duty when some individuals fired at him, killing him on the spot.

Following the incident, the police reached the scene and shifted the body to the hospital.

Meanwhile, a mother of two was badly injured after allegedly being pushed by her husband from the terrace of the third storey of their house in Pirwadhai area on Sunday.

The accused, Imran, was taken into custody by the police while trying to escape to Charsadda with his two children.

The complainant told the police that they were sitting in the courtyard of their house when they heard noises from the third floor of a neighbouring house.

All of a sudden they saw a man pushing a woman from the terrace.

The woman, who was identified as Reema, was critically injured and bleeding.

Later the police led by SHO Pirwadhai Owais Akram reached the spot, and after recording the woman’s statement, shifted her to the hospital.

A senior police official said the seven-year-old child, in his statement, said there was a quarrel between his parents and his father took his mother to the terrace after which he did not know what happened.
