ISLAMABAD: The impressive logo unveiling ceremony of SRG Kashmir Premier League was held at a local hotel on Saturday with Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub doing the honours.

“KPL is a golden opportunity for the Kashmiri cricketers to prove their mettle and show the world what Kashmir really is,” he said while addressing the media.

“I want the players to play freely and live bravely. The KPL will be played with freedom and courage in AJK, showing the world the real and actual face of Kashmir. The colour of the league will cross the line of control (LoC) from Muzaffarabad,” he added.

The KPL is scheduled to be played from August 6-16. Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, SR Group Chairman Saif Khan Niazi, KPL President Arif Malik and chief executive Chaudhry Shehzad, KPL coaches, franchises owners and other staff were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Razzaq said the experience of working with KPL is excellent.

“KPL is a very important event and will be very successful,” he said.
