MANSEHRA: The district administration sealed two schools after some students and teachers tested positive for Covid-19 here on Monday.

“We have sealed two schools after their students and teachers tested positive for the virus,” said an order issued by deputy commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan. It said Covid tests of rest of students, teachers and other staffers were being carried out. According to the order, government girls higher secondary school was sealed for 14 days and Global Wisdom School Pakhwal for 10 days.

The police were asked to ensure strict enforcement of the order.

Following sealing of the schools, the tehsil municipal administration staff started disinfecting both the buildings and their surroundings.

Meanwhile, the data released by the district administration showed that 14 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in the district on Monday, taking the tally to 3,914 since the start of the pandemic in early 2020.

The district administration has also been strictly enforcing the standard operating procedures at the cattle markets set up for sacrificial animals at several places.

The wearing of face mask is a must both for the buyers and sellers of sacrificial animals in the markets.
