KARACHI: A field of seven horses will battle it out for honours in the Sun Shower Cup when it takes place in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The race has been classified under scale order VII and will be run over four furlongs. It is the third race in racing order.

Half-a-dozen horses will be up against each other in the fourth and last race of the card that is also the feature event — combined scale order III, IV and V. It will also go over four furlongs.

As many as 10 horses have entered the fray in the opening race of lowest scale order VIII. It will also run over four furlongs.

The second race will see seven horses vying for honours over similar distance of four furlongs.

Fahad Jani will make its debut in the opening race.

The first race starts at 3.30pm.
