KARACHI: The Rangers Azadi Cup girls and boys basketball tournament will be played from Aug 1-13 at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir court, the Karachi Bask­etball Association announced on Friday.

The tournament will be played in two stages. The girls event will be played on 3x3 format from Aug 1-3 while the boys event will be played from Aug 3-13. The last date for entries is July 26 while the draws of the tournament will be taken out on July 28.

KBBA president Ghulam Mohammad on Thursday met and requested Rangers Sector Commander Brigadier Faisal Nawaz to be the patron-in-chief of the organizing committee to which he graciously gave his consent. The other members of the committee are Shahida Parveen, Khalid Shamsi and Advocate Ghulam Abbas Jamal.
