CHAGAI: The Balochistan government has started the construction of a polytechnic institute to promote technical education in the Chagai area.

Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Mir Mohammad Arif Mohammad Hasni on Thursday laid the foundation stone of Government Polytechnic Institute for Boys in Dalbandin.

Briefing the provincial minister on the occasion, the officials concerned said that Rs414.563 million had been allocated for the first phase of the project.

Local political leaders, tribal elders and government officers, including Dalbandin Assistant Commissioner Javed Domki, were present at the ceremony.

Mr Hasni said that the establishment of a polytechnic institute in Dalbandin would promote technical education which would be beneficial for Chagai.
