KARACHI, Oct 28: Jumatul Wida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan, was observed with due solemnity and religious fervour. A big congregation was held here at the New Memon Masjid, Bolton Market. Prominent religious scholar Mufti Qari Raza Al-Mustafa Aazmi, in his sermon, shed light on the significance of Jumatul Wida.

Special prayers were also offered for the ‘Isal-i-Sawab’ to those who died in the earthquake of October 8 and for the early recovery of those who sustained injuries.

He also appealed to the people to mark Eidul Fitr with simplicity.

The chief of the Tehrik Awam Ahle Sunnat Pakistan, Haji Mohammad Hanif Blue, lauded the efforts being made by the Government of Pakistan for the relief and rehabilitation of the earthquake affected people and prayed for its success in this endeavour.—APP
