Bounce Club clinch basketball title

KARACHI: Bounce Club beat Askari Alphas 48-43 in a thrilling final to win the title of the inaugural International Abdul Nasir Memorial Basketball organised by Firdaus Ittehad in collaboration with the Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) here at Abdul Nasir Basketball court, Arambagh on Tuesday.

Main scorers for Bounce Club were Syed Mubashir (15 points) while Zia Ahmed and Usman Bashir scored 12 points each.

For the runners-up, Saifullah Noshewani displayed super performance scoring 17 points while Anas Usman (13) and Asif Iqbal (10) also performed well but they could not save their team from the defeat.

Assistant Commissioner Arambagh Mashal Naeem, who was the chief guest at the final ceremony, along with PSWA president Shahida Parveen Kiyani gave away trophies and individual prizes to players.

Syed Mubashir was named the best player of the tournament while Asif Iqbal was given the best upcoming player award.
