LAHORE: Twenty-seven players are training under Iranian coach Rehman Mohammadi in a national camp which began here at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Monday.

The two-month camp, being organised under the auspices of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) in collaboration with Sports Board Punjab, is aimed at preparing the Pakistan team for the Asian Volleyball Championship being held in Japan from Sept 12 to 19.

DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh visited the national camp and expressed full support to PVF chairman Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob in promoting volleyball. Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti said best facilities had been provided at the gymnasium hall to the volleyball players for the said national camp.
